About Me

'Ello!

My name is Lissa(A Rogue Spirit) and I am 21 years old as of February(2012).  I have been in the Pagan world since I was 11 years old and I have always, for the most part, been a solo-practitioner...give or take a handful of gatherings.  I started out Wiccan when I was young, it was not a rebellion more of a study interest, later took on the more general Pagan label and then moved into a Pantheistic philosophy.  I do not see being Pagan as a religion but rather as a lifestyle choice, if I worship anything it is the Earth but I view her and her various occupants as providers, siblings and friends.

I graduated high school in 2009 with my Massage Therapy License and a years worth of college credits.  I went to Mesa Community College in 2009-2010 for Religious Studies though by the end of the year I migrated to Southwest Institute for Healing Arts which I graduated on September 11, 2012.  My AOS degree is in Holistic Healthcare and my specializations are Western Herbalism, Holistic Nutrition and Aromatherapy.  I have plans to get my BA from Grand Canyon University in Biology with an emphasis in Premed and then Southwest College of Natropathic Medicine for my Dr. in Naturopathic Medicine.  I am hoping to be done in 6 years...2018 but we shall see!

I have a loving husband who I have been married to for a year in April(2012).  We live comfortably on an acre of ancestral land in the middle of Chandler, Arizona...the desert.  We garden our acre and it is really green here due to the irrigation.  Sitting on the land you would never guess you were in the city or a desert.  My husband maintains the vegetable garden and I maintain the herbal garden.  We are hoping to build a trellis and greenhouse so we can grow Berries, grapes and other delicate plants that can not handle upwards of 100 degrees.  We have 2 orange trees, 1 ruby red grapefruit tree, a plumcot tree, a peachcot tree, an Asian plum tree, a pomegranate tree, an olive tree,   3 mulberry trees(all male unfortunately), 3 cypress trees, 2 palmtrees, a pinyon pine tree, a willow tree, and just about 60 rose bushes.  We intend on replacing the dying mulberry trees with a pecan tree, a lime tree and a pear tree.  Additionally, I hope to plant 2 apple trees and at least 1 elderberry tree.

My husband currently works with the developmentally disabled and I work part time as a massage therapist and full time as a student.  Joy to the homework filled life.  ^_^

I think that is about all I can say about myself.  ^_^

Quote of the year: “Getting over a painful experience is much like crossing monkey bars. You have to let go at some point in order to move forward.”More quotes!Buddha!~ My hero; I could never live the life he lived. Just as treasures are uncovered from the earth, so virtue appears from good deeds, and wisdom appears from a pure and peaceful mind. To walk safely through the maze of human life, one needs the light of wisdom and the guidance of virtue. Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful. The mind is everything. What you think you become. The tongue like a sharp knife... Kills without drawing blood. The way is not in the sky. The way is in the heart. There has to be evil so that good can prove its purity above it. There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting. Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth. We are formed and molded by our thoughts. Those whose minds are shaped by selfless thoughts give joy when they speak or act. Joy follows them like a shadow that never leaves them. What is the appropriate behavior for a man or a woman in the midst of this world, where each person is clinging to his piece of debris? What's the proper salutation between people as they pass each other in this flood? Whatever words we utter should be chosen with care for people will hear them and be influenced by them for good or ill. You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe deserve your love and affection. Your work is to discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself to it.
