Sometimes you just have to start from scratch.

I cleanse and purify this dedicated place

Cleansing and purifying is boring.
I have a grimoire. Maybe it is not mistranslated or a fake:

I like the look of Greyface and Negativism but can't be bothered to click 63 times; one might say I am ill-equipped for the journey.
Besides you have fouled my thread with your enthusiasm.

Well, you tell me Eugie. I got it off the back of a cereal packet, only I think it was less apathetic.

But, as I understand it from reading the storage instructions, you have to "create a sacred space" before summoning apathetic energies. Although they're unlikely to turn up of course. I suppose if you do get them to turn up they've already defeated the apathy, which is a bit of a paradox isn't it?

Ye Mighty Ones of the [whatever], Lords of Apathy, I do summon thee to attend but, really, don't worry about it if you can't be arsed.

I can see you reaching for your Big Book, Eugie. I know you can help me out here.

Well I'd rather someone else did it for me to be honest.

That is the reflection of 'apathy'. Like a Vampire it doesn't cast any, and sucks the life out of its' Victims ! Thus it remains a mystery.

Yes, apathy is bad, but being obsessed with the wrong things can be worse.
Before you get rid of the apathy, you better to decide what to care about, and make sure it is something good that will not mess up your life (worse than the apathy).

i just figured out a great way to cure apathy:

Get a dog!

That's right, a nice little poochy who can jump on your bed and lick you awake in the morning. Nice walks in the park and cheerful games of fetch surely would pry the indifferent human being out of their rut. And, as a bonus, dogs live about 20 years or so, which is a pretty good span of companionship if you ask me.
