Just understood today when I did the Qabbalistic Cross (as I always do in between the rituals) that when you draw power from Kether to Malkuth, the next step is ve-Geburah, which is the region of Kamael, the arch angel of 'revenge' and severity. The next is drawn to Chesed with Ve-Gedulah(another name for chesed), which is loving kindness and mercy. This follows a pretty universal law of life that first comes the severity or the test of severity and afterwards (if you are lucky) you get to Chesed the main cornerstone of Mercy and Love. One of the biggest intuitions that has come in a long while when practicing the occult.

Usually we get the life lesson(Geburah) first and afterwards we do the homework(chesed)

Funny I just today understood it's Geburah and not Gevurah, had pronounced it Gevurah everytime, oh well :)

Well, the lightning flash or flaming sword of creation, the path which the individual sephera manifest, is Kether, then Chokma, then Binah, in the first triad atleast, not sure how it manifests from there, so positivity does actually come before negativity.

After all you have to have somethiing to fall from, so the higher or positive sphere first.

Interesting though how the Tree of Life is kind of sideways, as you would think the most negative sphere would be Malkuth, not Binah, as it's the lowest.

Well Binah is the cold mother and passive. Like the main Yin force of the tree...
