There are techniques that will result in actually seeing phenomena, but I think of those as a finely-tuned and intentional hallucination, and it really isn't germane to visualization.
Don't expect to see stuff. Imagine what you might see (or hear, or feel, or taste, or smell) if you did. If you can't imagine, I don't know how to help you.

So far, I'm working on using clay. Problem? Lack of teachers in my area, thus trouble overcoming my current skill level.
I'm also going towards art and other methods.
I also said sound. I know one of the mods is into sound production, thus knows of a free sound libary and could reccomend what various elements may sound like.
The other issue I can "see" what I wish to happen clearly under certain circumstances.
The key issue for me is finding information needed (that one stepping stone) that leads to relevant information or when I do get it, understanding that information. I'm not sure if its my learning disability or what. If I read I sorta get it, but I don't. If someone just lecture or instructs,

However, thats not how other people are wired. Which leads to frustration. On both ends.
It seems they rather talk
at someone then
with them.
