I only based it on what was said in this thread and nothing more.
I know you specialized in dream magic for a while.
Beyond that, I know nothing of your expertise in the matter.
OK, I'm going to allow you that one Spraypaint because I can kind of see where you got that impression. Sorry I seemed to snap at you about it. However, the line you quoted had nothing to do with what I was talking about in my later posts when you and I engaged in a dialogue. You've taken it out of its context. I was only pointing out in my first post that encounters with surrealistic, usually grinning, black dogs is a pretty common motif in dreams as well as in the objective world where they also appear as if it was a dream. That is the only part that I based on cases I've read about and there are a LOT of them (accounts of some of them can be found in Patrick Harpur's Daimonic Reality if you're interested). I've never had a real-world encounter with any of these grinning black dogs myself but I have had the dream I described.

Then I made a mistake.

The point I was trying to make was we both have different interpretations due to differences in experiences, approaches and level of knowledge. I admitted my level of expertise, and I think (or hope I did) how I came about to my conclusion.

Pray and Know that the world is Good. Do penitential rites and cleansings. Make yourself pure and humble. After that, then most of your dross will be swept away by Divine Joy.

Did she see into the mouths of the dogs? Was there anything special about the grin? These things are important if you have any thoughts about this being more than just an issue of the psyche but possibly something external.

There are many traditions and cultures that use black hounds and wolves as symbolism and servitors of destruction. They're especially common in practices attempting to deal with powerful spiritual entities or individuals. I've had a fair bit of first hand experience with these things, as well as second hand accounts, not to mention the habit of spending the late hours of the night looking into relevant bits and pieces of information. If this is the case, I'll help in any way I can, though it.

Though, I hate jumping towards such conclusions, as the more "mundane" answer is usually the most accurate one.
