Those along the highway who lay in wait to rob the pilgrim will lie and say there are many ways and they all lead to the same result. This lie is true. The serpents are slipping slithery fingers about your purse strings as they say it… but it is true. All ways begin and end the same. We are born and we die. A certain number must achieve enlightenment for the species to thrive. Only a very small number! It is like genius… a sea of stupid is needed for a small amount of that light. For enlightenment, in spite of what the pickpocket says, the target is very narrow. Of all who try very few hit the mark. The aim must be dead on. The vehicle, body and mind, must not be a hindrance.
Eastern ways are lovely. They will NOT suffice for Western man. They did not that well for the East. In all of it, there is worth, but it is not the way. The way for the west is emerging. It is in the birth canal now. Drugs have been done. Magick has been done to death and silliness and then to downright insincerity. The way does not reject the world we see. It conquers it at last. It does not shame the traditions by bending to lies and half truths. It embraces all challenges as my neurosurgeon shaman friend demonstrates.
